At Financial Planning by TaxAssist, our highly qualified, Independent Financial Planners will consider all aspects of your personal and financial circumstances to enable them to design a financial plan bespoke to your situation and ambitions.

As well as your personal goals, key considerations in building your plan will be your attitude to risk and how your needs are likely to evolve over time as your circumstances change. With full access to the market, your dedicated planner will ensure any recommendations are tailored to a solution that is right for you.

Our friendly planners strive to add value to your lifestyle and future plans, by providing an ongoing service and long-term relationship, through providing open and honest advice.

If you are looking for advice on one specific area of your life such as retirement planning, making investments or personal or business protection, your dedicated planner will be able to discuss this with you to fully understand your needs and tailor a suitable recommendation.

Key considerations for your financial situation

Every client is unique with different circumstances, motivations and plans for the future however life can throw similar challenges or risks at all of us. Our planners will review your finances to access your immediate financial risks, such as what would happen if you were to die or become critically ill? Is there financial protection in place to protect your income or loved ones and is it adequate for what you or your family would need to live on should the worst happen?

Your expenditure and goals will change over the course of your lifetime as you establish a home, have a family, start a business, save for a particular life event or have funds you wish to invest. Moving through these stages of life, retirement planning is an important consideration throughout  which comes with its own need for careful planning and different advice as you age. You may be wondering:

  • Have I saved enough?
  • Is it invested well enough to give me the financial freedom I want?
  • How much can I spend without having to worry about running out?
  • Have I optimised my investments from a tax perspective?

Whatever stage of life you are at, our planners can work with you to review all aspects of your personal and financial affairs, to make your money work harder for you, ensure you and your loved ones have financial protection and that your future goals can be achieved.

Financial planning for business owners

Making sure you get the best financial advice for yourself and for your business, may seem double the effort and worry. Our planners specialise in working with business owners to ensure both their individual and company’s financial affairs are considered, meaning that you can rest assured knowing that your finances and assets in every aspect in your life, are working well for you and are fully protected.

Depending on the structure, size and profit of your business there may be tax efficiencies and investments that our planners can recommend you consider, in order to make the most of being a business owner.

Unforeseen events can cause disruption, or even put the stability of your business at risk. Our planners can provide their knowledge, expertise and recommendations, to help you consider what cover you need in place to allow continuity, when changes out of your control affect your business and key people in your organisation.

How we work

We offer a free initial no obligation meeting where a dedicated planner will look to understand your needs and discuss how we may be able to support you.

If you decide to proceed with what we have discussed, we will arrange a fact find meeting where we will allow sufficient time to fully understand your situation in enough detail for your planner to provide you with formal advice. From there we will research the market for a financial solution and produce a financial plan tailored for you. This may also include some cashflow planning.

Once we have a recommendation for you, we will discuss it with you in detail and take into account any feedback you have. If you decide to go ahead, we will put the financial plan in place and will provide an ongoing financial service to ensure your goals are being achieved and as life changes we adapt your plan accordingly.
